Holiday Homemade Baked Goods Sale  - TODAY!!

Monday, December 14th, is our Holiday Bake Sale.  Cookies, Cupcakes, Candy, Breads, Cakes and so much more available starting at 3pm.

Come stock up for your holiday parties or enjoy a cookie and a glass of milk!   Look for the volunteers in elf hats at the bottom of the stairs!

HTHMA Home Baked Goods  Sale Monday Dec 14th from 3 pm - 4:30pm -- Let's (Jingle Bell) Rock this Event with 100% Participation!



Anyone and Everyone can help-- there are lots of ways:
  • Bake (you know you bake, so why not bake extra? Bring  goods Monday morning at drop off)
  • Help Setup/Sell ( 2-3:30 or 3-4:30. Don your gay apparel and join the elves at the Bake Sale Tables)
  • Buy our Goodies (Don't feel like baking?  You can still enjoy holiday sweets. Buy your holiday treats on Monday. No one will know you didn't bake this year!)
  • Donate cash or a gallon of milk ('Tis the season for giving.  We'll take it in cash or liquid form)

What's Happening This Week: December 7-11


Donate to the Holiday Homemade Baked Goods Sale
Monday, December 14th - See Sign Up Below!

Calling all bakers-- (or those who like to dabble!):  We're having a Homemade Baked Goods Sale for the Holidays on Monday Dec 14th.  Please consider making extra holiday goodies when you do your baking this December to help us raise money for our awesome teachers' projects.  This Bake Sale will be advertised to the general public and businesses in Liberty Station so we need as many goodies as we can get!  Collectively we can make a difference!

Whole cakes, pies, bread loaves, plates of cookies will be available beginning at 3pm.  Individual portions will be available later.  We're looking for 100% participation to help us kick off 2016. 

Lots of Ways to Participate:  You can bake, donate 1 gallon of milk, volunteer to sell or clean up, contribute $$ or buy your holiday baked goods!

S.T.E.A.M. Ahead Match Challenge

Announcing The 4th Annual S.T.E.A.M Ahead Match Challenge supporting Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math at High Tech schools!

For the 4th straight year, generous donors have joined forces to inspire others to support High Tech schools. For 72-hours, Tue 12/8 - Thu 12/10, donations to our schools and programs will be MATCHED by 50% (up to $50,000 in match funds). In 2014, almost 500 family and friends of High Tech schools made gifts during the STEAM Ahead event raising over $162,000 supporting things like new and improved makerspaces, STEM lab enhancements, performing arts equipment, aftercare activities, new computers, and many more areas that deeply (and directly) impact all students.

Thanksgiving Gratitude Grams This Week

The HTHMA Parent Association and the Interact Club will be selling Gratitude Grams this week.  For only $1 you can send a treat plus a message of gratitude or appreciation to a friend, teacher , staff member or student!    Sales of Gratitude Grams will begin Monday, Nov. 16th during lunch time (through Thursday's lunch) and in the mornings before school Tuesday through Friday.  They will also be sold during the evening exhibitions this week and will be delivered before the Thanksgiving Break.  The funds will support HTHMA Teachers and the Interact Club's Wounded Warrior Project.

Parents, it's easy to show gratitude for your own children, their teachers, or other school staff (including crossing guards!). Just write a message of gratitude, write who it's for (if a student, include  their grade & advisor's name) and include $1 for each message. Put in a sealed  envelope, write INTERACT on the outside of the envelope,  and ask your student to deliver to the Interact club's table during lunch or before school.  Messages with a goodie will be delivered throughout the week.  Don't miss this opportunity to show Gratitude!  Click here to see the Gratitude Gram Order Form.

Teacher Wishlist Items - Please & Thank You!


Rachel Nichols - 12th Grade Humanities

Rachel recently purchased 50 copies of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey (she needed them ASAP!).  The books cost $7.53 each.   Please help us replenish Rachel's teacher account!  Any amount is greatly appreciated.  Please send a check made out to HTHMA-PA and designate that it is for Rachel Nichols.

Nicole Lively - 10th Grade Humanities

Nicole is in need of 50 MDF boards from Home Depot for a project that will start November 13th (next week!).  Home Depot Gift Cards  would be greatly appreciated!  Please send gift cards to school Attn:  Nicole or you can also send a check made out to HTHMA-PA and designate that it is for Nicole Lively.

Brendan Cavalier - 11th/12th Grade Engineering

Student Interact Club Announcement:
No Shave November Fundraiser

Please help support The Wounded Warrior Project by participating in the No Shave November fundraiser put on by the HTHMA Interact Club!  Vote for the teacher of your choice during lunch at the bottom of the stairs.  It will cost $1 per vote and each student voter will automatically be entered in a raffle for prizes that include gift cards to stores in Liberty Station.  The teacher with the most votes will win a gift card to help support their class budget as well as the opportunity to TRIM the LOSING BEARDS!!!

Village Sports Rummage Sale - Saturday Oct 24th

Support the Village Sports Teams by donating items for sale or attending (8AM-2PM). Donations can be dropped off at the bottom of the stairs on Friday, October 23rd from 8AM-9AM and 3PM-4PM.

Village Sports Rummage Sale: Saturday, October 24, 2015 (8am-2pm)

Support the Village Sports Teams by donating items for sale or attending the sale!


Donated items can be dropped off at the bottom of the stairs on Friday, October 23rd from 8-9am and 3-4pm.  The PA is also setting up a stand to sell drinks.  We will need water donations & volunteers.

Please visit the wishlist website at http://www.teacherlists.com/.  Insert the 92106 zip code in to see what our teachers still need!  You can pledge online or send a check to the school (made out to HTHMA PA) and you can designate which teacher it is for or if the money can go to the next critical request.

Toaster Anyone?
Our teacher and staff kitchen is in need of a toaster!  If you can donate a toaster please contact Sandy Houck.  Thank you!

Clothing Drive October 5th-16th
A local San Diego agency is in desperate need of boys clothing/shoes donations ages between 5 to 14. This agency supports low income and homeless families year round and their selections for boys are running extremely low.  There will be two black recycling bins in the commons.  Please send in gently used clothing and shoes to support this worthy cause!

Hot weather is supposed to be here again by the end of this week.  Enjoy some frozen yogurt after school on Thursday & support HTHMA!
